Obituary of Sidney C. Sweet, Jr.
Sidney C. Sweet, Jr., age 78, beloved husband for 50 years of Cora (Hershberger); loving father of Stephen (significant other Emma Migneault); cherished son of the late Sidney C. and Pauline M. (nee Le Roy); dearest brother of Kenneth (wife Marlene), Beverly Durkee (husband Larry), Susan Sweet (husband Stephen Kalman), and Douglas (wife Darlene); treasured brother in law of 4 brothers and 3 sisters; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Sidney was born August 14, 1939 and passed away on June 27, 2018. He was a resident of Thompson for 52 years. Sidney graduated from Chardon High School in 1958.
He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows and he worked at Hubbll Controls as an Electronic Technician. His hobbies were inventing new gadgets and fixing anything he could find. Sidney found the most enjoyment in life when he was sharing a cup of coffee, or having dinner with friends and family. He will be remembered for being very intelligent, reserved, creative, and handy. Sidney will be missed dearly by many.
Memorial Service Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 6 p.m. at Thompson United Methodist Church, 6758 Madison Rd, Thompson OH 44086.
Cremation by DeJohn Crematory.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Sidney at the church from 4 to 6 p.m.
