MATT JAMES RING

Matt passed away peacefully at home in Green Valley with his wife and daughters by his side.
He was born in Rice Lake, Wis. to Mathias and Elizabeth Ring, and was raised in Saint Cloud, Minn. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Matt attended Business College and moved to San Diego, Calif. where he was a bank manager for 30 years.
After retiring from banking, he owned a pool service business before moving to Green Valley in 2001. Matt loved the outdoors and his greatest joy was traveling with his wife Sharon and beloved dogs in their motor home.
A loving husband and father, Matt is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters Theresa (David) Plakos and Joni (Kalle) Buch; and two grandchildren. Also surviving are Sharon's children Tony (Julie) Procopio and Mike (Kristi) Procopio; and four grandchildren. His three brothers Henry, Richard and John also survive him.
A visitation will be held this Friday, Nov. 11 at Green Valley Mortuary & Cemetery from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. with Rosary 5:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
