WILLIAM H. HARTWELL. He was a farmer and merchant, removed in 1859 to Marysville, Calif., elected member of Board of Supervisors of Yuba Co. in 1861; county treasurer in 1863 for four years; engaged in mining for a year or two, then farming and stock raising until his death.
