JOHN HENRY HARTWELL. He was graduated in 1900 from Mecich Chi (Medical), now taken over by the Univ. of Penna. He was a 1st lieut. in World War I. Lived in Philadelphia.

DONALD SMITH HARTWELL. He was in World War II from June 1, 1942 to October 21, 1945. He was in five battles, --was in Africa, Italy, southern invasion of France and into Germany where he received the Bronze Medal for bravery and service at the Battle of the Rhine. He designed the pontoon bridge which was used in that battle.
