JACOB [EAMES]. Born in Woburn, Mass., June 6, 1751; died in Woburn, Nov. 10, 1824.

Married Aug. 3, 1775, Esther, born Aug. 22, 1755, died Dec. 14, 1836, daughter of William and Susanna (Jones) Tay of Woburn. He and his descendants adopted the spelling AMES.

He was a member of Capt. Fox's Woburn Company that marched from Woburn to Concord, and thence to Cambridge, April 19, 1775, being in service three days at that time. He was also called out to take part as a militia man at the time of Shay's Rebellion, 1786.
