OSCAR STEWART HEIZER. He was Consul General of the U.S. at Algiers, Algeria at the time of retirement from foreign service on Mar. 1, 1933; clerk in the banking house of George W. Frank and Darrow of Corning, Iowa, 1883-90; assistant cashier of the First National Bank of Corning, 1891; assistant treasurer for American Missions in Turkey, 1892-1906 interpreter and Vice and Deputy Consul General of Constantinople, 1906, 1906-1914; American Consul at Trebezond, Turkey, 1915; Consul at Baghdad, Mesopotamia (Irak), 1917-1920; Consul at Constantinople 1920-1922; special detail to Athens, Grece, Sept. 1922 to Sept. 1923; Consul to Jerusalem 1923-1927, Algiers, Algeria, 1928-1933; member of Son of the American Revolution. 5 children.
