Obituary of Florence Esther Kibbe Allen
Florence Esther Kibbe Allen of Lizella died Saturday, April 23, 2011. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2P.M. at Lizella Baptist Church with Pastor Shannon Back officiating. The family may be contacted at 516 Creekview Drive, Lizella, Georgia and will greet friends following the funeral at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hope Ministries, Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 South Lizella Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052 or to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
Mrs. Allen was born on June 4, 1928 in Wattsburg, Pennsylvania to James and Bessie Kibbe and was married to Raymond Bruce Allen on October 16, 1954. She worked for the Wattsburg Middle School at the school cafeteria and moved to Ridge Manor, Florida in 1978. Mrs. Allen was an avid blood donor with over ten gallons given to the Red Cross. She worked at a nursing home in the dietary department. In 2004 her family moved to Lizella, Georgia. She attended Lizella Baptist Church where she was a member of the Grace Bible Sunday School Class, a volunteer with Hope Ministry and was very active with the Golden Fellowship group.
Mrs. Allen was predeceased by her husband of fifty-two years, Raymond Bruce Allen, her mother and father, and her brother, Fred Kibbe. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Allen enjoyed traveling to Scottsdale, Arizona to visit her son and to Pennsylvania with her sister and brother-in-law from Las Vegas.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her sons, Charles (Bonnie) Allen of Lizella, Georgia, Jeff (Karen) of Tangerine, Florida and Dexter (Heather) of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren, Charles (Brandie) Allen of Reynolds, Georgia, Chris (Rochelle) Allen of Warner Robins, Georgia, Justin Allen, Christina (Clay) Dawson, Kyle Allen, and Pricilla Allen, all of Florida, and Taylor Carroll of Scottsdale, Arizona; brothers and sisters, Lois Will of Erie, Pennsylvania, Ruth (John) Keith of Las Vegas, Nevada, Charlie (Mary) Kibbe of Waterford, Pennsylvania and John (Ginny) Kibbe of Meadville, Pennsylvania.
